Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival is Labor Day weekend at Seattle Center!

Bumbershoot 2014 will take place August 30–September 1 at Seattle Center. Here are some things you should know. If you do not find an answer to your question, please contact them or visit an Information Booth at the Festival.

General Information

  • Bumbershoot opens at 11am daily
  • Box Offices & Will Call open at 10:30 am daily
  • Lineup is subject to change
  • Indoor venues have a limited capacity; entrance to these venues is not guaranteed
  • Bumbershoot and Seattle Center are ADA-accessible
  • The show must go on, rain or shine
  • Yes, you may bring your umbrella

Ticketing

  • Tickets are on sale now
  • Platinum and Gold passes offer exclusive benefits
  • Children 10 and under get in free with an accompanying adult
  • Prices will increase periodically leading up to the Festival; buy now to save big
  • BumberFans receive early access to tickets and are the first to know about deals and price increases

Getting Here

  • Entrance gates are shown in blue on the map above
  • Will Call is shown in red on the map above
  • Consider using public transportation
  • Ride the Seattle Center Monorail from Westlake Center
  • Free bike parking is located on Broad Street near the Space Needle
  • Seattle Center garages on Mercer St. and 5th Ave. offer discounted carpool parking

Policies & No-Nos

What to Bring

  • Your ticket
  • You may bring food
  • A reusable water bottle
  • A copy of the Festival Map

What Not to Bring

These items will not be allowed into Bumbershoot:

  • Alcohol
  • Animals, except service animals
  • Bicycles
  • Glass bottles or aluminum cans
  • Weapons
  • SLR cameras
  • Any recording devices with external microphones
  • Wagons or carts
  • Coolers larger than 14″ x 15″ x 10″
  • Backpacks larger than 17″ x 12″ x 10″
  • Laser pointers
  • Air horns or other noisemakers

Bumbershoot Mainstage

  • Platinum & Gold Pass holders receive special entry to and seating at the Mainstage
  • Bags may be subject to search before entering any Mainstage show
  • Skateboards are not allowed inside the Mainstage
  • No single-use, plastic bottles can enter the Mainstage

Comedy Shows

  • Comedy shows are hugely popular and have limited seating
  • A free Comedy Pass will guarantee you a seat at the show of your choice
  • You can pick up one Comedy Pass per day at one of the Comedy Pass Booths
  • You may enter the stand-by line for any show without a comedy Pass, but you will not be guaranteed a seat
  • Platinum Pass holders have special entrance privileges for comedy shows in any venue and need not obtain a Comedy Pass for comedy shows in any venue
  • Gold Pass holders have special entrance privileges for comedy shows in the Bagley Wright Theatre and need not obtain a Comedy Pass for comedy shows in the Bagley Wright Theatre

Food & Activities

Children

  • Youngershoot features programming specially designed for kids and families
  • If you are separated from your child, visit Lost Kids HQ on the 3rd floor of the Armory
  • Parents may sign up for the KidSafe program at Lost Kids HQ
  • Strollers are allowed; we do not have any available to rent
