Portland Duo Priory Debut New Video For ‘Weekend’

Portland Duo Priory debut New Video For ‘Weekend’ Starring Nick Krause (The Descendants, Boyhood) and Bailey Noble (True Blood) Announce National Tour with The Kooks Starting September 24th

Portland duo Priory have debuted a new video for their single ‘Weekend.’ Starring Nick Krause (The Descendants, Boyhood) and Bailey Noble (True Blood) entangled in a twisted love story, the video takes place in a dusty old roller rink. Watch it via the Idolator premiere or YouTube. ‘Weekend’ debuted on the alternative radio charts in its first week and has climbed to #14, deeming the band a Billboard ‘Emerging Artist.’ Purchase the single on iTunes here. According to Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears of Priory, who make a cameo in the video:

“The song ‘Weekend’ came from the notion that everyone feels oppressed by an authority figure at some point in life. It could be a controlling parental figure, a boss at work or something bigger and beyond our control. The video was directed by our friend, David Vincent Wolf AKA White Ghandi, and we had a great time hanging with Nick Krause and Bailey Noble. There was definitely some chemistry on set, just saying.”

Brandon and Kyle met in a flophouse in Portland, sold everything they had (including their own blood), built out a studio in an old cement factory, and made a record they felt represented everything they were capable of. Turning their life experiences into catchy, positive songs with meaningful, cut-to-the-bone messages, the band dealt with hardships during the recording process – family members with cancer, friends that died of drug overdoses – but overcame them through working together. Their full-length album will be released later this year, and they’ll be embarking on a national tour with Britpop quartet The Kooks, starting in Santa Ana, CA on September 24th [dates below].
