Sir Mix-A-Lot to show at Parkland bar opening

Pole Position Sports Bar, a new nightlife option opening in Parkland next month, will host a special guest when it welcomes customers for the first time.

Hip hop legend Sir Mix-A-Lot — the Seattle rapper who made a hit out of “Baby Got Back” in 1992 — will feature at Pole Position’s grand opening celebration on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The bar will host an after party with Sir Mix-A-Lot from 5 p.m. until close. Several games, giveaways and cash prizes will also be featured throughout the day, according to Sean Dunlap, media contact for Pole Position
