Mechanism – Live @ Louie G’s in Fife

Mechanism – Live @ Louie G’s in Fife

This lineup of All Star local music metal was a dream come true for any and all Heavy Metal music fans in the Pacific Northwest. Louie G’s did it again, putting on an all ages live music clinic and all for a great cause.

The night started with a level of energy not normally seen for an opening act, then again most opening acts are not Jason Kertson & the Immortals.

The 16 year old Kertson heads the Immortals drawing inspiration from his Grandfather, Rob Lind, who was a member of the iconic Seattle band The Sonics. Kertson along with Isaac Hernandez on lead guitar and Troy “Ringo” Wageman on the drums are a proven force in the PNW music scene and are sure to reach a national level in the very near future.

Have you heard of Riot in Rhythm? This high powered, high energy 4 piece band fronted by lead singer and rhythm guitarist Ben Smith delivers a show that will leave you wondering where in the world these guys came from…. I am talking nonstop energy …. just dropping bombs filled with Heavy Metal riffs, Hard Hitting beats and Powerhouse vocals. Influenced by Metallica, Alice In Chains, Ozzy Osbourne and Pearl Jam,  Riot in Rhythm launches fans into a blissful state of metal head euphoria.

Alex Critchlow shredding on Lead Guitar plus Christon Casper throwing down on Bass plus Jerad Lewis wrecking the Drums combined with Smith on vocals equals a can’t miss act!

Fail Safe: A system that has been structured such that it cannot fail (or that the probability of such failure is extremely low) to accomplish its assigned mission, regardless of environmental factors.

Thrown into this mix of these local hard hitting heavy metal heavyweights is a killer rock band from Spokane, WA… The Fail Safe Project.  This Rock/Alternative 5 piece band fronted by Jimmy Nuge blew the roof off of an already explosive night. The five dudes from over the mountains and through the woods brought the house down on the standing room only crowd with killer vocals and an absolutely huge rock sound. George Silva-Guitars/Vox, Lenny Fuson-Bass, Joel Hiatt-Drums and Tony Ari-Guitar combined to round out the band which holds true to its name… with no conceivable way to fail, The Fail Safe Project is due to release their debut self-titled album later this Summer…

Mission Accomplished… I am a true believer and will go on the record and say… The Fail Safe Projects new record is going to launch them into stardom.

Who in the world could possibly headline this card? Who is badassed enough? How about the Mental Itch Recording Artist MECHANISM!?!

Introducing Mechanism: Melodic Hard Rock from the Pacific Northwest. Kurt Vonnegut once said “I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can’t see from the center” and it seems Pacific Northwest powerhouse band Mechanism takes the sentiment to heart. In the ongoing pursuit of creating exceptional music, the four members of Mechanism (Ryan Renfield, Tony DeLisio, Bobby D’Angelo, Daryl Williams) strive with each deliberate move to break new ground in both the writing/arranging of their songs and in their live performances on the stage. Heavy. Dark. Intense. Three words that have been used to describe the band and their music. Three more would be: Rhythmic. Precise. Energetic. Anyone who has witnessed one of their numerous live outings, whether it be playing one of their own gigs or as the direct support for a National touring act, can attest to the very raw and almost animalistic energy Mechanism brings to each performance, which is a direct result of the near constant practice of the individuals and the professional stance they take regarding their craft. Since their inception in 2007, Mechanism has been fortunate enough, through hard work and goodwill, to share the stage as direct support with world class national acts including: Sanctuary, Where Angels Suffer, Dokken, Lynch Mob, Brazilian metal gods Mindflow, Lizzy Borden, The Devin Townsend Project and Michael Schenker. Mechanism is also a very active part of the wonderful music community in the greater Seattle area and are proud to have shared the stage with nearly every one of the top local acts in a similar genre.

Some of Mechanism’s accomplishments: *KISW 99.9FM’s band of the week three times *Featured and interviewed on KGRG FM, METAL MONTHLY, NWCZ RADIO and many more *Consistent airplay on Bay Area station KCRH 89.9fm *2012 Metal Monthly Hall Of Fame entrance *Listed in the top 12 bands of 2012 by Metal Monthly *Named 2011 BAND OF THE YEAR by the listeners and hosts of Chaos: A Show for the Masses *Performed at the SWC memorial in Anchorage Alaska *Performed at the world famous Hempfest several times *Headlined Kane Fest in Arlington WA *Headlined Chaos Fest 2 years in a row.
I can describe Mechanism in three words…. HEAVY FREAKING METAL….

Now, some of you might say that I really didn’t write shit about these guys… this is all you need to know right here… Bottom Line Up Front… Mechanism IS by their very existence the definition of Heavy Metal.

Know that this was a huge event at the best live music venue around. A Rock and Roll show of epic proportions… but it was much more than that. This night, May 31st, 2013 was about people, of all ages, shapes and sizes coming together to help someone in need. It, at this point doesn’t matter who or what… all that matters is that this local music community is family and they are connected not only through the love of music but through their dreams and that is a bond that is not easily broken…  There is only one person who could have made all of this possible and that person is the biggest dreamer and fulfiller of dreams around… Louie Galarza. Often heard saying “Welcome to my Dream, You are all in it” … Louie G, on the night of his 16th anniversary, once again proved that dreams do come true especially when you are at Louie G’s in Fife.
