The Owl Parliament has an EP Release Show: Who the hell are The Owl Parliament?

The Owl Parliament is playing an EP Release Show at the Tractor Tavern coming up in two weeks. The Owl Parliament is best described as an americana rock band from blue collar Tacoma. The band formed as an out-growth of a songwriter’s group held in Spiro’s living room in 2009, where artists would gather weekly to write, explore, critique and perform to each other. The Owl Parliament is Aaron Spiro, Mark Alvis, Nate Daley and Andrew Wambem.

“We’re a band of 4 close friends from Tacoma. We’ve played lots of shows and have been very active in the music community – having toured in other bands… Our guitarist Nate Daley also plays guitar for Motopony. Our drummer played with Allen Stone for the first 4 years of his career, playing many sold out Seattle shows. Our singer once recorded a solo album with 2 grammy winning producers in Nashville about 10 years ago. This is our first venture as a group together. Our sound is definitely songwriter-based indie / americana – something similar to My Morning Jacket, Black Keys, The National, Elbow, and Edward Sharpe Magnetic Zeros.”

The Owl Parliament just finished their first EP and will be releasing it to the public at The Tractor Tavern on Feb 11th along with The Cloves, making their first Seattle return since 2006, and Rough People, lead by Instagram celeb and optometrist Daniel Volland. Have a listen to their We Are The Owls EP below and be sure to catch them live at the Tractor Tavern on Feb 11th.
