PUDDLE OF MUDD: Wes Scantlin Smashes Gear then Walks Out on Fans Mid-Performance

The April 2 show in Scottsdale, Ariz. was simply further proof that Wes Scantlin has no business being on stage and Puddle of Mudd should not be selling tickets to what remaining fans they have left. In some fan filmed footage posted to the bands Facebook Page, you see Scantlin throwing yet another tantrum on stage in what has become almost a calling card for the band. He can be seen smashing his own guitar, microphones, and a portion of the drummer’s kit before grabbing his backpack and walking off stage only a couple songs into their set.

There has to be a point where the rest of the group, who are reportedly very cool cats, take back their band and offer their fans some relief from this childish, obnoxious behavior. If by doing so that means Scantlin has to go then Scantlin has to go.

The band is currently on tour until May 1 in Salt Lake City, Utah. You can still purchase tickets for the shows but do so at your own risk otherwise don’t be shocked if you fall victim  Scantlin’s antics.

Totally bummed about short show after 4 other bands. Puddle of Mudd rocks but disappointed tonite 🙁 broke up set and left early. Bro in red cap called it quick- sorry for bitchin dude.. Livewire Scottsdale

Some more one time fans expressed their displeasure via social media:

“My fam excitedly came to your show tonight in Scottsdale (7 ppl). We waited through multiple opening acts for the band. Your set started off awesome, but Wes attempted to destroy the set & the band walked off stage with at least 1/2 hour left. WTH? It appeared some of the band wanted to come back out, but Wes was already running out the back door… You cheated many ppl out of what could have been a FANTASTIC show, and blew off your fans with reckless disregard. And Wes had nothing to say other than “let it go” as he jumped into a back alley taxi. Shame on you Wes, & shame on you Puddle of Mudd for letting that fly.”

“Wes…. You Ass Hole… You ruined our night tonight in Scottsdale, Az…4 songs are you kidding me. You need help. ReHab, you Fuckin Idiot.”

“Ok so puddle of mudd…. 3 songs into the set, the lead singer had a major temper tantrum- out of nowhere- and broke everything on stage….mikes, drum set, guitar….then picked up his backpack and left the stage. That was it….Lame. I came from Canada to see that?? But I will say the ADULTS in the band were super nice ,cool guys”
