RED SUN RISING Emotionless Goes #1

Cleveland rockers Red Sun Rising‘s single “Emotionless” is now the band’s second #1 hit single on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart. This marks the first time in over ten years that a band has had back to back #1s on the Rock Chart with its first two singles. The track is off their debut full-length album Polyester Zeal via Razor & Tie, which features their first chart topper “The Otherside.” The band was recently dubbed “New Artist of the Year” at the 2016 Radio Contraband Awards. Razor & Tie Co-Owner Cliff Chenfeld says “Their success at radio is only the first step in bringing them to wide acclaim.  At Razor & Tie, we are committed to great new rock bands and we are proud to partner with Red Sun Rising.

Red Sun Rising‘s success at radio also makes Razor & Tie the first indie label in nearly twenty years to score back to back #1 hits at rock radio from an artist’s debut album.

“Amazing! What else can I say,” says Red Sun Rising’s lead singer, Mike Protich. “The radio support we have received across the country is both humbling and an honor.  We would not be in this position if it weren’t for America’s great rock radio stations and the best rock fans in the world.”

Red Sun Rising is currently on an extensive U.S. tour in support of their explosively successful record Polyester Zeal, after wrapping several Canada show dates with Pop Eviland Smashing Satellites. The band’s U.S. shows kicked off on April 11th and will continue throughout the summer. Red Sun Rising is set to perform multiple dates on The Harddrive Live Tour with Sick Puppies and several notable festivals, including WXTB Rockfest in Tampa, FLWelcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, FLFort Rock in Fort Meyers, FL and Carolina Rebellion in Concord, NC.
