SCOTT WEILAND: Has no Plans to Tour with Art of Anarchy

Screen Shot 2015-01-22 at 5.44.22 AMJust hours since the news broke about the formation of a new mega group fronted by Ex Stone Temple Pilots front man Scott Weiland the lead singer released a statement via social media calling the project nothing more than “Fun”. With the music media a buzz about Art of Anarchy, Weiland set the record straight saying that he has no plans on touring with the supergroup founded by Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal and Jon and Vince Votta.

Weiland who was dismissed from Velvet Revolver in 2008 rejoined Stone Temple Pilots until they also fired him in early 2013. He and THE WILDABOUTS will put out a new album in March.

I just saw some press about a side project called art of anarchy that I worked on last year – I wrote and put my vocals down for these guys and had fun doing a couple of videos too, we had a lot of fun. When they find their front man to hit the road and play some dates, check them out. In the meantime, if you want to check out where I’m at RIGHT NOW, check out my band, SCOTT WEILAND AND THE WILDABOUTS. I couldn’t be more excited about our new record, Blaster, that comes out March 31st. You can see us on the road starting in Feb, and at Sundance next week and SXSW in March. Here’s some footage of us in the studio performing White Lightning and a new song called Circles.
– Scott

Ohh Well, It looks like it is easy come easy go when it comes to Weiland but none the less, Art of Anarchy will be releasing a their record this spring.
